Lately the POTUS has been behaving like the drunk at the end of the bar near closing time.
Pouring out all of his troubles and problems to the world. He is rehashing old Trump Tower stories and adding new details and twists to them. They say when people drink that their true feelings come out. Trump claims that he does not drink and his supporters say the same thing.
Okay- but let’s not be taken for fools, because we have heard lies erupt out of his mouth like lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano and his supporters claim that they have never heard him lie.
So if it’s not liquor, what the hell is it?
Well, if you picture the scene from many movies, the drunk starts getting loud and insulting everyone in the bar, starting fights until he gets thrown out on the sidewalk. The POTUS was no different when he went in on Journalist and CNN Anchor, Don Lemon and Basketball Player and Philanthropist, Lebron James late Friday night, by calling them low IQ- ( keeping it real) DUMB.
Lebron James is arguably the GOAT basketball player, but more importantly, he is a wonderful, intelligent and caring human being. Case in point, The Lebron James Foundation along with a partnership with Akron Public Schools opened up an “I Promise” school for 240 at-risk kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio last week. The school offers a new and innovative approach to teaching kids and helping their families. The “I Promise School” offers:
- Free tuition
- Free uniforms
- Free breakfast, lunch and snacks
- Free transportation within 2 miles
- A free bicycle and helmet
- Access to a food pantry for their family
- Guaranteed tuition for all graduates to the University of Akron
What’s more, parents of students will receive access to job placement services and help acquiring their GEDs.
Needless to say, Trump stepped into it big time and of course the comparisons between the two men was not pretty-FOR TRUMP. Don Lemon, in his own articulate and intelligent way, had his own response.

Lebron did not even have to respond. Everyone and I mean everyone from Michael Jordan to Hillary Clinton got in a swift kick to the proverbial drunk lying on the sidewalk. Even Melania Trump added her designer pumps to the rib section.
I have never seen so many different people come together in disgust and condemnation.
White Americans seemed to be more outraged than usual. Maybe they are finally tired of being silent and ignoring the racism and dog whistles.
Maybe they recognize that our country is on the brink of forever being torn along racial lines and becoming a place where the brilliance and accomplishments of a Black man is stripped and dullened so that a weak, mediocre White man can shine instead.
It could be that by constantly attacking the very thing that brings us together – ‘sports’ and trying to create division in our fun times together, is the final straw for Trump.
Let me take a knee, I’m not that naive.
I wish that his attacks on Barack Obama’s brilliant legacy would have awakened our UNION.
Regardless, of that, I will say that THIS TIME THEY WEREN’T HAVING IT!
